Vodka drip keeps man alive
A seriously ill man has been kept alive in Australia by being fed vodka through a drip. The 24 yr old man had swallowed poison in an apparent suicide attempt. He was treated while in a coma in Queensland.
Doctors set up the drip after running out of medicinal alcohol, used as an antidote to the poison.
Dr Todd Fraser from the hospital said: "The patient was drip-fed about three standard drinks an hour for three days in the intensive care unit. Fortunately for him he was in a medically induced coma for a good portion of that. By the time he woke up I think his hangover would have well and truly gone."
The man spent 20 days in hospital before being discharged.

Live in Toilet
Sim Jae-duck has made his political career as South Korea's Mr. Toilet by beautifying public restrooms. Now he's got a home befitting his title: a toiletshaped domicile complete with the latest in lavatory luxury. This two-story house is named Haweoojae, or "place to solve one's worries."
Sim has built the two-story house to commemorate the inaugural meeting of the World Toilet Association. The group, supported by the South Korean government, aims to launch a "toilet revolution," by getting people to open their bathroom doors for the sake of improving worldwide hygiene.

Man's house is an island
A Chinese Real Estate Company wants to turn the area into a £40m 'Broadway' square, including apartments and a shopping mall.
But the owner of the villa says he won't move out unless the company pays his price - the equivalent of £1.3 million.
"The villa owner refuses to move, so the real estate developer has had to dig out all around it to force him to," says a saleswoman at Weilian Real Estate Sales Company.
The villa now stands alone in a 30ft deep man-made pit in Chongqing city.
"He wants 20 million yuan, or he'll stay till the end of the world."
