Christmas party saved from disaster

Children from the Malaga Children's Home enjoyed a special Christmas treat thanks to a team of helpers from L.I.V.E, the staff of El Potro Restaurant in Mijas Costa, and the generosity of local radio listeners.
But it was so nearly a disaster……..
With only ten days to go before the Christmas party one sponsor badly let down the ex-pat charity L.I.V.E when they said they would not fulfill their commitment to provide Christmas presents for the children.
L.I.V.E. appealed for help and the response was immediate.
For the third year running, El Potro hosted the Christmas party for youngsters in conjunction with L.I.V.E.
After tucking into a superb lunch of chicken nuggets, chips and ice cream washed down with as much soft drink as they could hold, the children were delighted to see Father Christmas. Once the excitement of the presents died down the children were treated to a wonderful, fun packed show from Entertainment ATI Malaga with clowns, magicians, and acrobats.
"We can´t thank people enough for their generosity," said Brian Marsh, Chairman of L.I.V.E. "I just wish everyone could have seen the sheer delight and enjoyment on the faces of the children, and for these children in particular an act of kindness such as the response we've seen to our appeal has made all the difference."
